Catch-up over lunch.

I've just sat down to have lunch in a cute little coffee shop across the road from uni, when it dawned on me how long it's been since I have written and posted anything on my blog. The last few weeks have been absolutely mental and jam-packed. So I thought this would be a great time to just sit down for a little catch-up with you all, and tell you about where I have been up.

The German Christmas Market's have recently opened for another year in Leeds. One night, a group of us decided the head down to the city and see what these markets has install for us. We wondered through the numerous Christmas themed trinket shops, until we arrived at the divine smelling food stalls. We honestly spent most of the night, walking around trying to decide which meal to purchase. In the end, we all bought a traditional German sausage, and then for dessert a jam filled donut...my mouth is watering just thinking about it now. We then retreated inside to the beer tent, where we all bought a pint of Germany's finest beer (or whatever £4 would get us). The band performing had the entire room on their feet singing to some great old classics, and everyone was filled with great festive vibes.

Now even though the weather had begun to drastically drop, and the temperature has not peaked above 10°C for almost the entire month, it has not stopped us all heading out on the town. We are still struggling to balance our socialising and drinking out with uni work, even into the 10th week of the semester. But we are at the time now where we have sussed out our favourite pubs and clubs, so whenever we do go out, you always know it is going to be an awesome night.

The final, and probably most exciting thing that has happened since we last spoke was my dad came to visit (yay)! He was in London for work, and very kindly decided to make a little deter up to Leeds to see his favourite daughter. When I picked him up from the train station, it felt as thought it was only yesterday when I was waving him goodbye. However, I was still very happy to see him. We had such a lovely time over the few days that we got to spend together, and I was spoilt rotten. It was so lovely not to be a poor uni student for a few days, and I may or may not have had steak for two of my meals (something which I have been craving since arriving in Leeds). Seeing dad made me really excited for Christmas time was I get to see the rest of my family.

Oh yeah, I cut all of my hair off so all I have left is a little bob.
